| This is a hard cheap polycarbonate that cracks easily and doesn't fit correctly. The only thing it has going for it is that it is orange. Get the Incase instead, it lets you have access to the battery check button on the bottom, has more ventilation holes on the bottom, a nice non slip feel, and it is flexible and more durable, and it fits. Just wish it came in more colors. |

Price -
Considering what it is(two pieces of hard plastic) it's a little on the pricey side and maybe the thinking is if you have a MacBook Pro then you'll be willing to shell out the extra coin for a little added protection. Not sure I'm cool with that, but then again this is speculation and I don't know what goes into the production, shipping and companies expenses in bringing us this product. You do get a cleaning cloth with the pkg that was not advertised. So thumbs up for the extra effort and gift.
Quality and Fit-
Seems reasonably hard but don't drop your laptop as I can see where this will crack. It's more to protect against surface scratches, fingerprints etc on the bottom and top of the laptop. This by no means should be the end all of your laptop protection attempts but it's a more than solid start. Fits the MacBook Pro without any effort with no weird or abnormal bulges or defects in the plastics mold. Creating a very sleek looking case for your MacBook Pro.
Installation - Takes 15.6 seconds to put on and that's if you're distracted. The hooks or clips that snap into place have a very straight forward application method(good design) and it's so easy a caveman could do it.
What it's for? -
Top and bottom protection against scratches and non-ideal surfaces you might have to rest your laptop on.
Extras -
Came with a bright orange cleaning cloth! I used it on the screen and it was perfect for that application.
Overall thoughts - I'm so happy with this item I think I'll buy a black case as well. If this company also sells a rubberized version of this case I'd also be interested in taking a go at that as I'm happy with the overall quality of the item, quickness of the shipping and the price just means one night I won't be able to have Sushi. :P
I gave this item 5 stars as I think it's perfect as is and overall I'm happy with my purchase. |

| Speck products are great, the cover comes on and off with ease. The scratches that have appeared on the case make me extremely satisfied that I bought the cover, my Mac is protected. Also, it looks really cool! |

So far this hard case works out great for me. Three things to consider though.
1) It attracts more hair, fur and dust than you Mac without the hard case. Not a huge problem though.
2) Your mac will get slightly heavier even though the see thru looks like it's weightless. It's not.
3) You can't tip your display as far back as you can without the hardcase. To me it's a little annoying when sitting with the mac in my lap where usually need to tweak the display all the way back to get the right viewing angle. My guess is that you can tip the display 95 degrees.
Still all the above is an okay trade off when it come to protecting the Mac. |
